Prenoa - Jewellery With A Story

Prenoa - Jewellery With A Story

We are now over half way through the year and as we have welcomed many new subscribers and followers to the Prenoa family, I thought I'd take a moment to greet you with a warm welcome and reintroduce myself.

I am Rebecca, founder of Prenoa. I started Prenoa back in 2011, after years of designing and creating jewellery. With generations of coin collectors in my family, my love of silversmithing, creative mind and entrepreneurial skills all came together to make 'business owner' the next thing to go on my CV.

Today, 15 years later, and residing in the beautiful historic town of Stamford on the Lincolnshire/Rutland border, Prenoa offers heirloom quality coin jewellery and accessories for all kinds of milestone moments. I am so pleased to share that the latter part of this year is a time for expansion, newness and the coming together of many years dreaming and planning.

As you may know, I have an art/design and teaching background, and working with people has always been a pleasure. In 2017, when the business really took off, I left teaching (Oil Painting and Print Making at a local Post 16 college), to pursue Prenoa full time.

In 2019, my step-father Paul came on board after his retirement from engineering. Paul was a perfect fit to Prenoa - a coin enthusiast and collector from the age of 9, an engineer and draftsman, with a hobby of forty years building custom motorbikes. Silversmithing seemed like the ideal post-retirement interest and his skills have created an organised, efficient and nostalgic workshop that feels comfortable and inspiring for dreams to evolve and purpose to reign. Paul has also proven he is a natural on camera, showing that even after 45 years of working, new talents can still surface!

Today, knowing what is to come over the next few months and years, it is time to get ready and share our journey and what we do best. Every Prenoa piece will continue to be created with purpose using historic materials with a story, thoughtful British craftsmanship and jewellery designed to become a modern heirloom.

We’re delighted you’re here and we look forward to sharing the stories behind our
pieces with you.
