It's the 1st June already. How the year of the horse has galloped through the months to this point. There has barely been time to rest, since our plans to expand have caught this fast pace and we are harnessing the energy of it.
Whilst we embrace some new technology in the workshop and tend to the bounty of veges and flowers in the Prenoa garden, it's true to say our signature arch bail pendants have become very popular since their launch in January — so I thought I'd update you here on the blog. Admired for their balanced silhouette, thoughtful construction and quietly protective feel above each historic coin, we can now offer them with a touch of luxury too.
Selected Prenoa coin necklaces featuring our much-loved arch design are now available in gold. This includes both sixpences, farthings and pennies.
A Familiar Design, Reimagined
If you have followed our story for a while, you may already know the arch.
Softly curved and carefully balanced, it frames the coin in a way that feels both refined and enduring — giving historic pieces a quietly confident presence when worn.
Until now, many of these designs were offered in sterling silver. Bringing the arch into gold felt like a natural evolution: warmer in tone, softly luminous and beautifully suited to coins already rich with age, symbolism and story.
Rather than changing the essence of the design, gold enhances it.
The result feels quietly elevated — familiar, yet different and perfect for those who love the sixpence or farthing, but only wear gold and want a coin that sits well with their existing jewellery collection.
Why Gold Changes the Feeling
Gold carries its own emotional language.
Warmth. Celebration. Longevity.
Where silver can feel crisp and understated, gold introduces softness and richness, drawing attention to the textures and gentle irregularities that make old coins so compelling.
Against worn details, patina and historic relief, the contrast feels especially beautiful.
The arch itself becomes more sculptural too — less simply functional and more like a considered frame that gently suspends the story beneath.

Designed for Meaningful Gifting
Many of the coins we work with already mark moments in time: birth years, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, wedding traditions and meaningful personal dates.
In gold, these pieces take on an even more heirloom-like quality.
A 1966 sixpence. A wedding year token. A lucky penny carried close. A favourite coin transformed into something quietly lasting.
Not louder.
Simply warmer. From ancient civilizations to present day, gold is something we turn to again and again.
The Same Thoughtful Craftsmanship
Though the finish has evolved, the making remains reassuringly familiar.
Every piece is carefully prepared in our Stamford workshop and designed to celebrate the beauty of real historic coins — preserving the individuality, character and markings that only time can create.
The arch remains one of our most loved details for good reason: balanced, secure and quietly elegant.
Now, simply dressed in gold.
