This silver coin pendant is a real taste of 70's nostalgia. Five pence coins replaced the shilling, and they featured Queen Elizabeth II on them with the Scottish thistle. This was the only coin of the time, that represented the Scottish nation within the British isles.
Five pence for five decades, Prenoa has carefully soldered a clean sterling silver bail to the top of this lovely coin.
This particular coin has been used as a coin of the realm and therefore will show some signs of wear, commensurate to its 50 years of age. Smaller versions of the five pence were introduced in 1990, but these coins were still used until the late 90's.
